If Brendan wants to find out the reason for that defeat he needs only to look in the mirror.

 

It's now his fourth season and he's got a defence that persistently can't be trusted to defend. He's got a midfield that can't cope at home against West Ham. He's got a thirty odd million quid forward who appears isolated and lacks sevice with no decent width in the team that could help bring the best out of such a forward. This all means that this team stinks the place out, especially in home games. The team appear poorly drilled and badly organised.

 

It's an unbelievable situation and his position has effectively been untenable, in the real world, since the debacle at Stoke at the end of last season. How he has the nerve to stand on that touchline in front of home fans having already proved he's not up to the job is beyond me. He must have the hide of a Rhinoceros and an ego the size of Jupiter...

There's probably been more of it it going on since his debut season as there ever was under Rafa, certainly in terms of the first team squad.

 

Respective blame for that is impossible for us to aportion accurately, on the outside and not in possession of all the facts as we are, but from the moment players like Assaidi never got a sniff, at all, and Sakho was signed for so much money and never trusted, it was obvious there were power struggles over player recruitment going on behind the scenes.

This has been going on for ages now....we are so fucking slow in our play - i honestly wonder if there is a slower team in the league. We never stretch teams, we rarely get down the flanks with pace and we never seem to get men over.

 

Everything is in front of teams, ponderous and slow...no wonder we score so few.

The problem at the club right now is the manager and not the players. He's out of his depth and don't know how to get us out of this. To make progress we need someone with a fresh look at this squad.

 

It was a huge mistake to keep him after the end of last season. It was a bad sign about how he's regarded by the players when they couldn't even step up for the last few games of Gerrard's time at the club. We need to let him go as soon as possible as neither the fans nor the player seems to have any faith in him.
