Spanish paper (Sport), Talksport, The Express and a few others all saying now that he is on his way for a medical.

Details are still a bit sketchy but there have been suggestions that Barca wanted an option on Coutinho (ha!) or a buyback clause.  In argument against these points, he reportedly has a buyout clause of £10.6 million, so I don't understand why there would be additional concessions we would have to make.  Not to mention that Barca are supposedly under instruction to cut the size of the B team quite a bit and have been making lots of moves to shed some of their younger players.

Looks like a very good player on youtube and has very good stats with Barca B, but so did Luis Alberto, and I think we'd all agree he was a bust.  Anyone seen him play in an actual game?  The youtube videos make him look like a very quick, but still strong wide player who uses his pace and balance to go past fullbacks and put the ball into the box.  One could even argue that he looks more like a Sterling replacement (at least as far as physical gifts) than anyone else we've brought in.

He's gonna be top class. He has to be.

After all, what are the odds of one club signing 2 shit Traores in the same century?

Don't know about. Portsmouth had both Djimi and Armand Traore. Heck, I'm pretty sure they even played together there during the same season, nevermind in the same century.
