Rocket League

Is just about the most immediately enjoyable football-type game that I've played since Sensible Soccer.

Get on it. PS Plus.

My OG per game rate is higher than Wes Brown and Carra combined, but I win manage to win more than I lose.

Need some tips from pidge.

Timing

A touch of boost in the air gives you some floaty goodness and you can knock a high bouncing ball in while everyone else is waiting for it to drop.

Like football, running onto the ball is going to beat the mug sat below it, so pulling back to the halfway line while everyone else is in a corner can be a good tactic.

Timing.

A forward roll is even faster than a boost. Not the extra boosty boost, just the normal one.

Let other players fuck it up so you can score off their mistakes.

Hit everyone. On the other side.

Don't drive directly towards the ball while chasing it into your own net.

Timing.

A bigger boost in the air with a little tilt back can make you fly which is usually useless but looks impressive in replays and you can look down on everyone else with cont-TIMING!

Don't knock your teammates about too much.

If you start in the goal, you're job is to defend.

Also, I'm not very good either.

I didn't know there were proper positions, I've been haring out of goal like a numpty.

I just hang back now and charge in when there's a chance of a shot. Also good for defending, although defending can be impossible at times with so of the awkward bounces.

Anyone bothered with the single player league? I keep meaning to start it but onlines too addictive.
