FSG are not shit

A couple of sound Bosman deals could help us too, for example Meyer and Gimenez. Then the money we do spend need not be spread so thin, so hopefully we sign Lemar and Alisson, or that sort of profile/quality.

I wonder if Milan Jovanovic is available again?

What the net spend statistics omit is infrastructure spend. Spurs have spent modestly on transfers — but then again they are a journeyman football club, with a jewel of a new stadium incoming. Chelsea going large on both. Arsenal doleing out contracts we won’t dream of.

FSG don’t even approach the term bare minimum. No trophies. 1 stand renovated. Skeleton squad. Having Klopp at the football club is the only asset preventing their pack of cards collapsing.

The “Coutinho on strike” line is not quite as believable when he is back in the city, swanning around arm in arm with the players and celebrated at parties by management.

If Spurs are a journeyman football club what are we ?

This "we exist to win trophies" has not been true since we sold the club to hicks and Gillett and nothings changed in that  regard under the new owners apart from the fact the club is in a sound financial position but the idea is to qualify for the champions league with the least possible expenditure.

When they sacked Kenny they made it very clear the League Cup and FA cup mean nothing to them as they said at the time he'd have been sacked if he won the FA Cup anyway.

It seems to me we are a journeyman club now, even arsenal have won trophies in recent seasons.

Our last trophy is a league cup in 2012 is pathetic.

If Spurs are a journeyman football club what are we ?.

Five time European Cup holders and 18 times league Champions. Or didn’t you know?

The adage ‘class is permanent’ has never been truer. Even in the dark days of this ownership group and a decade consistently out of the CL our revenues are bigger, our demand for tickets swells and we still demand infinitely more attention from football fans around the world.

FSG are the proverbial bums, squatting in the once-grand but now dilapidated mansion waiting to be restored, whoring out the rooms and applying a lick of varnish to the exterior in a vain effort to keep up appearances.

Would be really interesting to know what Coutinho was doing in terms of agitating for a move because selling in Jan makes no sense for all the reasons already stated.

Look at Monaco and Lemar - their chairman has come out and nailed it "He will stay at Monaco until the end of the season 100%," Vasilyev told French radio station RMC.

"If Liverpool or Arsenal come with a big offer before the end of the market? This is not relevant

We will say no because the objectives are clear.

Without important players like Lemar, we will not succeed"

I think most of us agree that clubs looking to achieve things in a season don't sell their best players halfway through it and not look to strengthen the hole left.

So maybe it was really toxic seems to be the shout - well if that was the case why are we welcoming him back with a fucking party and open arms today...instagram pics etc?

Does not add up - surely you wouldn't do that if it had become toxic....so the question is why let a key player go now with so much on the line?

As we can see with Monaco - it isn't what clubs with ambitions do....or as Arsenal have done/are doing you get quality in.

Something does not add up.

Something does not add up? Yeah fans reluctance to accept Coutinho was in his managers and teammates faces every days saying he wanted to be elsewhere and not willing to play in the rest of the year. Sure it is a World Cup year. That is exactly why he forced the move through this time.

So if he was 'in their faces' why are we throwing him a party?

As for World Cup year - he was our asset and if he had a good world cup would probably command an even bigger fee after it....

And now we have just set the template for every player in the future who wants his move and wants it now?

Why throw a party if he was in their faces every day ?
