FSG are not shit

Yep - but not sure it is that simple. For instance an FA Cup would not change the landscape and your use of Arsenal points that out.

We are about 5th in the tough guy  - thats just in England.

And on the world scale I would say we are mired outside the top 12 -- so our reality is players of the top caliber will still want to move on even if we win a shiny thing every third year.

We need to get to Atletico/Dortmund level - where we can make reasonable tilt at the league title each year with our current set up. And show up in the CL more often than not.

It will not be easy.

An Fa Cup would help.  Winning breeds Winning. All this squad is known for is losing,

Still believe that the plan was Coutinho out and VVD and AOC in all along as soon as club knew Coutinho wanted gone.

AOC was secured at end of summer window and Cou was convinced to stay until Jan and then VVD arrived and Cou was off shortly after.

We'll see what money get in summer but i for one will be amazed if it is 'the coutinho money' as that has been spent IMHO.

Unbelievable isn't it trade cuthinho for aoc ,only liverpool could even think that could work .How to blow up your season ,fucking joke

This happens to Spurs too. Bale, Modric, guardantee Kane will be gone for 200 mil or some shit this summer.

They’ve finished above us 6 of the 7 years FSG has been here.

If you could go back to that moment a couple of years ago when you randomly picked our name out of a hat, would you, in hindsight, have preferred it if you'd drawn Tottenham instead?

I hate this tedious argument that a club finished above us. Yes it is a league. It is what happens in a league. I would prefer we finish above them all. Not as easy as saying it though is it.

Yes, they are a pretty well run club and they don't spend all that much money on transfers either.

In fact, you could probably use them as a blueprint for wise, conscious spending, not as something to beat FSG over the head with because you don't think they spend enough money.

When? Do you mean the one year?

Allowing United to completely miss a season due to a mickey mouse trophy somewhere warm and allowing their 'showpiece' event to be staged before the end of the domestic season at 5.30pm on a Saturday night(UK time) really shows how much they believe in their beloved FA Cup. They are the FIFA recognised national association yet dance to the tune of the Premier League at every opportunity. Yes they've devalued their own competition and most likely for personal gain.

There are no people - it is an Association. Utd checked out that year (that single year)  for the good of the Association. At their request. But you remember it right?

And we won it a year later - oh how we celebrated a treble -- and they won it three years later....

We don't have a view of selling them, FSG have never said that. The best players just so happen to want to leave after a certain point and you can't keep players who want to go forever. A club with an outward and honest strategy of selling to make profits is Monaco, not LFC.

If we have no view to sell, why do we put release clauses in players contracts?

I'm really disappointed we were beaten by West Brom.  But there's really no way we should be trying to lay this at FSG's door.  It's not FSG's fault that a team of players man to man superior to the opposition in most positions is defeated by said opposition.  Missing a penalty is ridiculous, really.

"Release clauses"? Only Suarez had one and that was because he wouldn't have signed a new deal had it not been in there.

In fact, it's common knowledge that one of the reasons why Emre Can isn't signing a new deal is because we're refusing to give him a release clause.

I know you don't like FSG, but at least try to make the criticism truthful.

Firmino has one as well doesn't he?

You don't believe its been devalued? I do and couldn't really give much of a shit about it. My concern is both the performance and the dramatic loss of form which nobody ever saw coming at all with such a strong squad and abundance of quality players.

Bobby does not have a release clause. He has a clause in his contract that he cannot sign directly for Arsenal after their £40m + £1 for Suarez bid. He could sign for them if he did a Can though.

I’ve explained many times how it was I came to support LFC and you’re probably aware of it and know what you just wrote is shit.

Finishing below Spurs so consistently speaks volumes about FSG’s ambition and abilities to get us results on the pitch.

It’s no stick, it’s just the clubs results.

From an interview by Klopp with German telly @DAZN_DE

LFC Transfer Room

Jürgen Klopp: "Of course It's been a bit difficult at the moment with the injuries of Jordan and Adam [Lallana]. The team is growing together but it still needs more input from outside. If a player leaves you have to replace him adequately as a minimum

Jürgen Klopp: "I’m surprised about the development of fees for a player, but if you really want to have a player you need to pay any price. Normally defenders cost a third of what a striker costs, but Virgil is a special player so it was worth it."

Spot on that, though there is some on here that would characterize it as the rantings of a hysterical fanny.

    • Just a thought, listening to all these ex pro's on Tele talking about the big 6 being greedy don't care about fans out for themselves. I wonder if any of these pundits ever moved club's because they were offered more money? And I wonder if these pro's gave a fuck about the fans they were leaving behind who had payed THEIR wages and I wonder how many (Robbie Savage) mentioned downing tools to force a move through, Rio Ferdinand has had alot to say lately didn't he move from Leeds to Utd despite knowing the history between the two sets of fans. All two face cunts.
    • Yeah I'm sure every extra penny would be spent on the squad or stadium
    • Not sure how the 'we go it alone' for the next tv deal works out. We and the other 5 clubs will be outvoted at every opportunity that doesnt benefit 'the 14.' They've already shown their intent by kicking representatives off PL committees. Everything is off the table for the 6 and on the table for the 14. 3 of the 14 voting on this wont even be in the PL next season.   It really wouldnt surprise me for the 14 to become quite bullish over tv rights money. Theoretically, they could push just about anything through such as weighting the distribution of tv money to clubs who finish outside the top 6 because 'they have the added benefit of income from European football.'   Anyone think cunts like parish at palace and barber at brighton arent licking their lips over this? They've never had such a whip hand in football before.   The 6 have left themselves exposed like never before.
    • Yeah I can just see the Premier league expelling the biggest clubs in the league if they try this again while losing billions in TV money ect. Never going to happen.    Its not like the clubs were looking to break away from the Premier league so the league should just shut the fuck up.    You can guarantee any of those other Premier leagues clubs would have been invited they'd have been on the ESL bandwagon quicker than a tramp in chips.
