Seems like the right place...

LFC in conversation about renting White Hart Lane for a 2019/20 pre-season friendly. That's a bit shit.

The only place in London to watch Liverpool friendlies.

Or...we get to play at that ground in a non-competitive context so we know what it's like to play there before we face Spurs in the league (or any other competition). I've never been near White Hart Lane but I bet it's still less of a bastard to get to than Wembley.

Meh, I don’t mind. Depends who we’re playing but we have a lot of fans in the south/London and it’s a boss stadium so kinda makes sense. We’ve played friendlies at Wembley/Aviva in recent years so it’s not much of a departure from that sort of thing

I can take a fairly educated guess at what it's like.  It will have a rectangular pitch on grass with roughly the same dimensions as ours.

It isn't.

Probably make a shitload of cash off that game. It's also something to do with Anfield being used for concerts and the alterations needed over the summer to the stadium.

Yeah, I think they said the pitch will need sorting again after the gigs, needs re carpeting, or grass growing or whatever it is they do these days.

Has it been mentioned yet about the away tickets? Barca ripping off the away fans, so we're charging Barca fans the same and using the extra cash so subsidise our fans for their trip to Spain. I think United did the same thing.

Some comments online have confused me, saying that we should subsidise our fans anyway and still let Barca in for the normal price. Unfair for us to punish their away fans apparently and we should make sure a statement. I don't understand why we should do that, it's Barca being the cunts here not us.

It's more of a bastard to get to.

we'd all like the club to give out free tickets and transport and ply us with beers before and after the game as well.  If they don't do that they're just money grabbing bastards and snakes.

How do Barca's regular match prices compare to ours? Are they taking the piss,or pissed off at our prices therefore pettily taking it out on our fans?

They basically bump up their prices depending on the opposition. I went to a game against Moenchengladbach 2 years ago and even though it was a dead rubber game they still charged 60-70 euros. My mate went on a stag do the other week when they played Vallecano and they got tickets for 45 euros.

My seat was a decent one behind the goal but the ones they are flogging for the semi final are on the top tier with a perspex fence in front of it where you will literally see nothing.

It's a training kit sponsorship deal, but it wouldn't surprise me if the amount per year is greater than what Everton get for their actual kit deal. I doubt AXA are squeaky clean (all financial institutions have skeletons in their closet) but it's much better than having Bet fucking Victor as a sponsor.

If the owners decide to have naming rights for the training ground (the red and blue Mancs have this with AON and Etihad respectively), I reckon they might extend the AXA deal to cover the Kirkby complex when it's completed.

Why not have both, and throw Dunkin Donuts on as well? We're already most of the way towards players looking like Formula One drivers in their team overalls.

Hell of a 12 months for them. They currently own the World Series winners AND the Champions of Europe.

Now keep investing in the club and the team so this season is just the start of a new period of trophy collecting, not a culmination.
