There was a clip of him looking at Southgate's notes when picking the penalty takers, and he didn't look too impressed.

He certainly seemed more of a captain than the actual captain.

Looked like Jordan was the only one to not pathetically and disrespectfully remove his medal when presented with it and along with Phillips stayed to watch Italy lift the trophy .

Described in an article this morning as 'workmanlike'. Given the author was a Spurs fan it didn't seem to have occurred to him that this player has won more in the last couple of years that Tottenham have in the past 30.

Their self awareness is incredibly lacking. Spurs claim to being a 'big club' is their new ground and regularly losing any cup final they reach.

The boy's a class act. Cant stand to see titty lipped players whip their medal off like that. Shows disrespect to the winners and other teams in the competition.

No idea what we’re meant to be offering but an extension on his current terms seems fair, obviously it’ll be diminishing returns from here on out with him. If he wants a little bump then I’d still say fair enough but you can’t see the club being arsed about his contract running down when he has two years playing for us and they let Gini walk at a younger age than Hendo will be.

Taking sentimentality out of it, what kind of contribution are we expecting from Jordan Henderson at 33 years of age? His injury record is close to appalling at this stage, with another 2 years on the clock his role will be more in the back ground than the pitch. Himself and Milner need to stay as long as they can play at all but he needs to start accepting his body won't allow him play his current role, he may end up a utility player like Milner covering fullbacks and being 5th choice CB.

Disappointing news if correct. Outlets like the Athletic were only suggesting a day or so ago that Liverpool had opened talks with Hendo. Now, 48 hours later, it's the boy's future is up in the air.

I dont get this if it was down to Jurgen, it would all be sorted yet they say Hendo wouldnt want to just be the wise head in the dresing room with limited playing time. Why would Jurgen even think of Hendo being the wise head with just cameo appearances? Doesnt stack up.
