There always has to be a scapegoat and its usually Henderson. We lost because a lot of our players didnt show up for a while. The manager is at fault for not just Henderson but all the midfield that he identified as not being up to the task last season and continuing to play them.

Henderson, Milner, and Wijnaldum are possibly the most beige and boring midfield trio that has ever existed. I mean, I get that Klopp has tried to fix it with Keita and Fabhino, but my God, just seeing their names on the team sheet has my eyes hooding over.

They've been good in one or two big games, but in general, we've been an atrocious attacking side with that midfield. Wijnaldum is a full blown holding player now and Milner does his best but he's in his mid thirties and has no guile. It's not smart to expect anything attacking wise from them, and they've proven that time and time again. That midfield just isn't a good idea, it's the wrong call.

Milner used to have guile when he could overlap and get behind defences. I still remember a mesmerising goal he was part of against us for City in that fashion. That was 5 years ago though — and he was on the wane then.

 

i think we’re getting just as much as you’d expect from Milner/Wijndum/Henderson. Arguably far far more. A trio of triers bought on fees that a trio of triers command, and by the way, the midfield spine to date of a record breaking league season so far. Our 80 million £ pair of midfield sensations absolutely have to kick on. They are a ridiculous flop IF they cannot displace the 3 above.
