Jesus, he contributed to get us to the final, it's not rocket science, you then tried to twist the discussion probably because you know Henderson is doing well & need to try to belittle him somehow.

Cool, so just probably our best player the last three games in his new role, but he's not right for the club.  No bias there at all is there.

I was never a big Joe Allen fan really.  Very critical of him on here, especially towards the end.

You leave Joe Allen's end out of this.

What are you talking about ‘not right for the club’?

NV and Howie ruling this thread.

If only I was honest with myself, eh. Because when what I actually wrote about him failed to show me as a hater, and when the opinion I show now fails, the last resort is that I was pretending not to be a hater.

LFD and TK sure do love him.

He’s done well these last 2and a half games. He was awful v Spurs.

He knows Fabhino is number one as the DF. He’s a poor DF himself. Said so himself by asking to be moved further forward. Once Chamberlain gets back up to speed he takes his place there ahead of Henderson next season.

He clearly knows this so he’s giving it a good go before he hits the bench on a regular basis or moves on.  He sees this as his last opportunity to leave a good impression. I hope he does but have my doubts.

He's a middle-distance athlete, not a footballer. Would make a passable full-back for a mid table team like Everton. Why is he the captain?

Fucks sake the reason he shouldn't be captain is because he shouldn't be in the first team as he is fucking shite. Timid, brain dead and utterly negative.

He gets a walkover on here for some reason I can't figure. After that today the manager needs to look hard at this midfield of ours. Especially the captain. He needs to be dropped. Bring Grujic in.

When we struggle they and him especially are nowhere to be seen. Fucking home birds all of them. Henderson will never be a defensive midfielder. Can maybe. Henderson never. Give the captaincy to any of them until Mane returns.

Correct. If this was the 90s he'd be Coventry captain.

Him being captain isn't the problem, the problem is him being on the pitch.

To be honest it has little to do with him being the captain of this great club. It's the fact he's a fucking terrible player. Never put a single tackle in on Saturday. Some leader our Jordan. Klopp will ease him out as soon as believes he can trust Grujic. Hopefully sooner than later.

Henderson isn't so much Captain Mainwaring as he is Private Pike.

Nice boy.

He was awful last night. The only time he looked halfway decent was in the last 10 mins when they put everyone in their box and he had no-one coming near him to challenge him.

He's terrified of getting the ball played to him whenever theres an opponent within ten yards of him. Watch him again and see how quick he is to get rid of it. He either plays a pass that the recipient will struggle to do anything with or he'll go back to a centre back or more usually the keeper, even when he's on the halfway line.

Another nothing player, drop him asap and get Milner in there

This is the Henderson thread, so most of the discussion will revolve around him. And the fact he is not very good means that most of the discussion will be negative. Hardly surprising. Go visit some other threads for more all-inclusive hatred.

He'd be great in a midfield with Gerrard and Alonso. But sadly he's with a carthorse and the Invisible Man.

Here's some proof for @Numero Veinticinco that most fans don't hold the view that's he's a steady 7/10 player.  Most of the fans are highly critical of him, subject him to ridicule/abuse and constantly demand that's he's dropped/stripped of the captaincy.

The view that most people don't a have strong opinion and are reasonable/measured in their assessment of him is clearly wrong.

He is and has always been a slightly above-average Premier League footballer, and he should be on our bench. That's about all that needs to be said about him.

I said he's a slightly above average player. That's literally the definition of 6-7/10. Not exactly abusive or unreasonable either.

Just 19 months ago with my comment, which I stand by at the time TK, if I remember rightly you went on a little neg tirade which is your right. He was very good in our last title run and has been very good the last three games in an advanced position. Did the manager not say he made a mistake playing him deep recently?

Nope, you said he's a slightly above average "Premier League" player.  The inference is clearly that he's not good enough for Liverpool.   Not the worst comment on this thread, granted.

Can you  find my positive Henderson posts for bit of balance. It won’t be too hard as there won’t be that many but they’re in there somewhere.

I can’t be arsed myself but crack on.

I literally say in the post he should be on the bench, which means I did think he was good enough, just not to be a regular starter. You don't have to infer anything when the answer is in actual writing, mate.
