No,its simply the fact that people are realising that he is a much better player than most have given him credit for. Probably more to do with the public support of Klopp than anything else. I also heard terrible stick being given to Molby,Whelan,Ray Kennedy etc when they were at the club and Whelan captained us to trophies too. He got better in the eyes of some once he was gone.

He is more effective further forward. We also have a better player in the 6 role. So the team is better. Midfield is better.

No one wants the fella to do poorly.

He has though for long stretches and some have noticed. Seems he and Klopp have as well.

I don't think he's played poorly much more than a few others plus the safety first role he's generally played was what the manager wanted him to do. I think he's been a very consistent performer in a role that is extremely difficult to be anything but efficient.

Hendo is playing the best he’s done since our last title challenge, him getting sent off v City and missing ‘that’ Chelsea game was a massive miss. Fab and Hendo should be the 1st 2 mids on the team sheet for the remainder.

Taking into account than Wijnaldum has played well all season and Henderson has had a couple of good games, I find it hard to agree.

Very please that he’s at last starting to perform though, long may it last.

He's always going to be a conservative player as it's in his nature but he's done very well in the last few games. His passion is rubbing off on the whole team as well, if he can keep this form going he may well be lifting the the title in a few weeks.

I reckon there's a clue in there as to why he's still captain. I've got absolutely no doubt he is a big part of maintaining high standards off the pitch.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - we lost out on the title in 2014 because Henderson was banned for the final 3 games. His form towards the end of that season was superb, and he's beginning to play to that level again. Keep it up, lad.
