James Milner is an absolute machine. Beat everyone in the lactate threshold test today at Melwood. Naby dropped out with one more level to go. Lallana and Milner last two standing. Milner the only man left running laps at 24KMH. Tank.

That's Lallana fucked for the season again.

Not surprised. People talking about him not being able to go two games a week. Well if he isn’t, then the other fuckers for sure aren’t.

I watched the video and they asked Jurgen who would win - straight away he said Milner! (well James M is what he said!) What a guy! I also noticed Sturridge was in the first group to drop out!!

I’ll admit I am not a sports scientist but is it a great idea having your players near kill themselves first day back after a summer holiday ?

You are correct, things could be done in a more elegant way, but this is football, it will take still some time for sport science and the "common sense" to break into the sport. Rugby on the other hand, they mostly know what they and the staff is actually allowed to do that, not to say that the LFC (or a similar level club) staff are lacking the knowledge, often times they are just not allowed to use their brain.

All the players had individual training plans for over the summer.

Stop talking bollocks.

I'm sure on one of the videos I saw I heard Klopp say if they have done what was asked of them over the Summer then not much happens today but if anyone hasn't it will be a lot more intense for them.
