Roberto Firmino

Brazil have their own version of little Englanders. As if playing in that shit league deserves comparisons to Neymar, Coutinho and Firmino.

I don't think you can call Brazil 'a shit league' considering the quality of players it has produced over the years, but it isn't as well structured or financed as the big European leagues of course.

Obviously he’s class, but he can’t play 50 games a season, and we’ve had a look at Solanke and Ings now but both are a huge drop off.

Any ideas about a possible understudy to Bobby?

Anyone tempted by Arnautovic?

No at all, he’s a bellend.

Would have been the easiest thing in the world for him to down tools as the lone frontman for a shit West Ham side, but he hasn’t, and he works his bollocks off.

Anyway, any other shouts?

Play Salah there when needed. Buy someone really good who can play wide and score a few goals to cover for Salah and Mane.

I can see the reasoning behind Arnautovic, but we’ve been badly burnt by that kind of Premier League striker signing too many times for it to be worth the risk.

‘At least he’ll score against the smaller clubs, and that’s all we need. He’ll be an improvement on Solanke. He’s played enough in the league to handle the physical side etc etc.’

We’ve all seen this movie’s ending too many times: 3 goals and a loan move to Anderlecht with an option to buy.

No idea who else we should go for, but our recruitment team have done a pretty amazing job in bringing in the right attackers in recent times.

If we were to buy in England, somebody like Martial who knows what it’s like to play for a big club would be great but pretty unlikely. He’s also unappreciated where he is. Spurs’ Son is fantastic too, but not exactly unheralded.

Not really it’s a fine line between buying someone who’s hardly going to play but still keep up the tempo and not make it too much of a drop off in quality, that player being happy with his situation and not costing the earth to do it.

I’d probably rather we get an alternative striker with a completely different skill set to Firmino, a poacher or target man to help beat the shite in the league and if Bobby was injured and we wanted to try to replicate him in the team play Mane or Salah as the false nine.

I also don’t think Armautovic would come here to play second fiddle he clearly thinks he’s better than that, he has a huge ego and is the type to kick up a fuss if he weren’t playing enough.

“Works his bollocks off”. Are you fucking blind? He literally walks around the pitch. As soon as he gives the ball away he isn’t interested and starts pretending he’s injured when he makes a cunt of himself trying to beat a player with skill when he should lay it off. He’s literally the anthithesis of a Klopp player. He was also embarrassing for the goal they conceded today. He’s basically a more talented Balotelli.

Timo Werner, especially if he can play effectively out wide as well as through the middle. But if they won’t sell, I’d say statistically we’d be better served going for a goalscoring, fast wide player. Someone as near to the quality of Salah or Mane we can find. There will be more games for them than just signing someone who can only play centrally and be a back up to Firmino. If there’s more games it’s likely we could sign higher quality.

He's a moody fucker who is a world-beater only when the mood takes him. Play him as an understudy and you will never get a decent game from him.

He also went 4 months without scoring for West Ham. And he's 29.
