You really don't like facts when they don't suit your agenda.

England has done far more to prop up successive Tory Governments than Northern Ireland ever could. I assume you'll be gleefully gloating "fuck the English" every time we get fucked over by the Tories?

I do and I will.

Splendid.

So, you basically don't give a fuck about anyone (other than those who have been given a blip of a payrise, because you think it's useful for online bickering)?

It's far from a "blip" of a pay rise though Angry. It's a pay rise that has been earned and long deserved.

I've been down to Bath today to help with Building logistics and it's far from a "blip" for these boys,. It's a game changer, same for girls pouring the tea in the local cafe.

Your arrogance is why the tories are making hay and labour are behind in the polls.

If anyone is really concerned about low pay EU Britain award winning journalist Sarah O'connor from the FT (a remain voter) lays it all out in her articles/expose further up the page.

Eveyones welcome to agree/not agree and comment. We all moan about the state of British journalism but when a journalist asks seriously awkward questions we go to binary mode.

Check her out.

I certainly did read it Angry and I try to read most of what Varoufakis writes...the EU coronavirus response has in general been another fucking sham and the fund will solve little ...I also try read most of what Sarah O'connor prints and unfortunately for you but fortunately for those concerned with British working conditions in this article her expose shines a light into how eu free movement changed working patterns in British factories/warehouses for the worse...

The practices in the link above sums up EU employment in all its gory glory.

If Labour continue to ignore reports like O'connors they are well and truly fucked.

UK's command paper on dropping the Irish sea border is quickly rejected by the EU. I thought it was a fantastic deal, so why are we now wanting to scrap the sea border?...

(Just in case Gnasher is reading, that was rhetorical, and I don't want you copying and pasting reports and articles you don't read beyond the headlines in reply).

Nobody's denying whether it's earned or deserved.  The question is how long it will last.

I give it a couple of years before inflation and wage clampdowns wipe out everything these people have gained.  That's why I've not got the red, white & blue bunting out.  Fuck all arrogance in acknowledging reality.

Fuck me, you see one potential chink of light in the otherwise disaster that is Brexit (so far) and really hype it up ceaselessly to try and make your point, sad bastard.

Let's wait and see shall we and instead of cherry picking maybe look objectively at the bigger picture over period of time.

I'll say the same for the very real, very clear negatives.  We need to see what happens over a reasonable period of time (maybe 5 years to allow Covid to wane hopefully), but currently the negatives far outweigh the positives, that could change.

Are you fucking blind? Ignoring that the arse has fallen out of certain industries and others are struggling or offering worrying predictions, as a direct consequence of Brexit we have the worst government in living memory. That might usually be fine you'd say it's only 5 years but the damage they are doing in that time, to the fabric of the UK (will the UK still exist in 5 years?), to workers rights and protections in the UK, to protest rights in the UK, to voting rights in the UK, to starving children in the UK, the reform of asylum law, to democracy itself in the UK.

All of that is directly attributable to this government which is directly attributable to Brexit.

If you want to ignore that carry on.

No no no. You're taking about the deficiency of our own government, which is fair enough but not about the Brexit process itself, that's a different animal.

Hmm.

If I remember rightly, 5 years ago you were predicting the imminent implosion of the Tory Party and the dawning of a golden age of Socialism.  Sadly, you were wrong then.

Sadly, I see no reason to think you're right now.

Amazed more isn't being made of the now quite obvious food shortages. Anyone been to a supermarket lately? Seen more fruit and veg on an American kid's plate.

I have, I travel the country, been to Bath today. We won't starve.
