Yeah I think you're pretty much spot on. They say in comedy timing is everything well David Cameron should consider a career in stand up. Looking at that graph as a remainer that referendum couldn't have came at a worse time. Fears of immigration high and Bulgaria and Hungary just being allowed freedom of movement, the governments own report stated mass low skilled immigration harms low paid workers in this country.

Britain and the eu were also both using austerity as a political weapon, although if you took this forum as a barometer youd think the eu was headed by Fidel Castro.

Edit. If Cameron's timing was bad Johnson has trumped him. Leaving the eu in the middle of a pandemic when the eu would have probably agreed a year extension if asked. I suspect Johnson is under orders from the murder capitalists though.

All of this, every last thing, was avoidable and for pricks like the above to grandstand about wartime spirt and the rest, we’re not at fucking war, nor do we need to be, we don’t need the blitz spirit as there is no fucking blitz. There was no need for rationing as we had plenty, through some had less than they needed, but that’s another story. There was no need for very real insecurities small business are facing and there was no need for the jobs that are going to be lost and the lives that are thrown in to chaos. All of this clusterfuck was not in any way on the horizon. We live in the best of times and we are talking about fucking rationing?

This is an act of criminal negligence and the longest suicide note of a developed nation since Caligula opted for orgies in place of statesmanship.

Fuck off, this is an act treason and a very real and knowing destruction of people lives, opportunities and futures, for what, so we can vastly reduce our standards of living?

This is all because a small bunch of rich people wanted to get even richer and now they have to wheel out the ghost of Vera fucking Lynn to placate the proles as they’re going to be living on dry store goods until they run out.

Fuck them all.

Ahh the old 'Blitz Spirit' myth being rolled out by Brexiteer's, not a surprise given their inability to identify with factual information. Many historians have pointed out that there wasn't a blitz spirit, the idea that there was a collective national commaradary to see us through difficult days is and always has been bollocks.

You know it’s quite amazing that since 2010 when the Conservatives came to power they inflicted a genuinely cruel austerity, the like of which has never been seen before with horrific results and then morphed into quite simply the most incompetent Government this country has ever seen, a slapstick administration of Harold Lloyd proportions, and STILL they piss elections. Fair play like, that wants some doing.

No doubt the same blitz spirit that saw people lose their shit about a lockdown that still allowed them to go shopping by going and emptying the shelves and causing shortages that otherwise would never have happened.

The instant it looks like we have an issue with supplies from Europe the same shit will occur again. Blitz spirit my arse!

You have to give them credit, they really are masters at accepting zero blame for absolutely anything that ever occurs.

Stuff that happened when Labour were in power blamed for anything that happens to them, stuff happens when they are in power it's the oppositions fault. On one hand Labour are apparently utterly incompetent when they are in power and leave a huge mess behind, but apparently the same incompetent party is seemingly full of people capable of stopping the Tories doing anything good when the Tories are in power and are still at fault.

Also, the Blitz wasn't self-inflicted.

They've already started to spin the EU closing borders to the UK after Johnson has spouted about a new mutant strain and its backfired.

You watch "They were not there for us in our time of need, they isolated us, No Deal it is hoorah for Blighty!"

Nah my money is still on Johnson doing a last minute deal . 48 hours of being cut off from the world might have sharpened  a few minds plus the horrendous Nov government borrowing figures

Yeah, I know I've been a hysterical fanny on occasion but all the countries just shutting us down will have definitely sharpened minds. EU sources have also said that the UKs fishing catch reduction demands have been greatly reduced too.

Will still be a shit deal though as the UK removed services from any talks right back at the beginning.
