From the BBC

A European Commission spokeswoman has rejected Brexit Secretary Steve Barclay's suggestion that the ball is in their court.

“We would disagree. There are, as we have said, problematic points in the UK’s proposal and further work is needed, but that work needs to be done by the UK and not the other way around.

"We would remind you that it’s the UK leaving the EU and not the EU leaving the UK. And we are doing everything in our power to ensure that that exit is on an orderly basis and we are willing to engage constructively with our counter-parts but we are not going to be the ones left holding the bag, the ball or any other kind of object.”

He was saying that on 'Peston' last night, although he was talking a load of bollocks for the majority of that interview.

Hasn’t centrist right hero Ruth Smeeth, and one other, indicated they’d vote for Johnson’s plan?

Ruth Smeeth, the person who blamed Corbyn for the referendum result and demanded he resigned.

Apparently she said that, along with Gareth Snell.

Any Labour MP who votes for Johnson's deal is helping the ERG deliver No Deal @gareth_snell and @RuthSmeeth.

Nicholas Watt @nicholaswatt
Gareth Snell and Ruth Smeeth have just told me they will vote for Boris Johnson’s #brexit deal if it is approved by the EU. They are two of the more prominent Labour MPs who represent Leave voting seats

Latest from the Guardian is that the Irish PM and Juncker have called on the British government to publish the full 44 page proposal rather than just the 7 page summary. The reason being that the summary and PM's comments don't match the detail of the 44 page proposal.

The government have refused.

So really, what is there to hide? Is it that the proposal includes border controls which they know the EU won't accept and the government is using it to spin Brexit blame on the EU?

Parliament should vote for it to be published in full.

To say the EU are unconvinced is an understatement. The UK have been pretty darn embarrassing throughout this fiasco.

The EU know they are battling against a UK Gov't which is split. The side that want a No Deal due to self gratification and making money, and the other side that want a deal. You can also add those who would rather stay as a member. The EU member states have been pretty much together since the off and have been more than patient, yet cunts like Johnson and his Tory party are still being underhanded in dealings. I'm surprised the EU just don't say Fuck off.

@Boss and @A Red got really outraged over the milkshaking incidents from memory. Not sure about @Rico1304.

I'm not sure they were outraged, but they certainly objected to it. So did I, and I still do. It's a ridiculous practice. As for the shooting Tories thing, other than it being part of the well established forum 'edited' joke, can you imagine if Stronts or Rico had called for the shooting of Corbyn or Labour MPs - joking or not. The outrage would be quite something, and valid especially as we live in a country where one has already been killed in the fucking street.

Agreed, hence my advice for him to be ready for the outrage. It wasn’t meant to be limiting to the right wing posters only, anyone can join in obviously.
