The consistent line has been that there's no more negotiating with May's red lines, but the EU would be open to negotiations with a Labour Government, because they would be negotiating on different terms. I don't think there's anything in that news to change that.

That’s not what they’ve said. There is no other deal to be had. A change in government means nothing.

"Something has to give on the British side," he said.

 

The "something" that has to give is May's red lines.

 

A change of Government means a change of the principles on which any negotiations would be founded.  (Any reopening of negotiations would also, of course, mean delaying Brexit even further.)
