At what point does the USA decide to "Venezuela" the UK?

When we discover oil and have no military and we're not the financial capital of the world and we don't host their bases and we don't have a very important intelligence relationship.

Have to admit it would be hilarious, though.

Imagine John Bercow just up and announcing that the whole government is fraudulent due to all this Brexit nonsense and that he's now running things until a new election can be held, and then the US and most of Western Europe officially recognising him and refusing to speak to May.

I support this.

Very good summation of yesterday's events. Our MPs refuse to take any responsibility over the process and are just passing this around like a grenade that's had its pin pulled out.

We are fucked and parliament needs purging of both main parties.

Raab...another fucking snake in the grass...this is all made in Toryland, backed up by those freaks in the DUP...

They were always going to cook up something so they could stay in charge and then approach EU knowing they haven't a hope and then use the media to fire all the bile at Ireland & EU while blaming them for the shit storm a NO deal brings! I thought it wouldn't happen but i can see that buffoon Johnson now being PM

most of the issues we hve now is because we have an exit defined in law, deal or not on 29th march. Parties on all sides of the house voted for this pretty much, so while the tories may well be in charge of this shit show, labour are not entirely blameless. this mental fucking standoff corbyn has just had with may emphaises that.

Surprised at the animosity towards Labour and Corbyn. A reminder one of the two major parties whipped to oppose No Deal and also support a small extension they also whipped against whatever batshit deal May is proposing. They also whipped for a Customs Union and a strong relationship with the single market. The amendment also included allowing time for legislation if needed on a public vote on the deal agreed by MPs. The other whipped to support No Deal and the batshit May Deal

If only there was a credible third party, step forward Sir Vince, oh I wait I see a problem, our third party are the one's who enabled this shower of shite to get into power in the first place.

They all have another chance in a couple of weeks to take no deal off the table. Blaming the EU is not going to fool many and I still expect A50 to get delayed or even revoked at the 11th hour.

Last night was all about giving May a last roll of the dice to save face and then dare MP's to vote down her deal again.  The Tory remainers will side with Labour if its a crash and burn scenario.

I don’t know, there is so many out there that ‘just want it to end’ coupled with the media spin to push as the evil EU and US! I do hope you are right, but this lot will lie, deceive until their dying breath because that’s what they do best!

I don't see why there's such alarm with a no deal Brexit anyway. Just look at how well we, as a country, deal with a bit of snow and somebody flying a drone bought off the internet...

All in hand. Everyone calm down. There’s plenty of rats to go around.

Prbably.

What will blaming the EU achieve? For a couple of weeks it may keep the media at bay but when all is said done those eating rats for dinner won't have Jean Claude Junker on the ballot paper.

it will help them at the next GE. if the economy is in the shitter and someone else is taking the blame, they won't even be the tiniest bit arsed, providing they can retain power. the sad thing is labour's policy throughout this has been more about winning the next GE than providing any type of of opposition or alternative to this fucking shower, the absolute worst government of all time.

I’m current stockpiling rats. Got about a hundred of them in cages in the back room. I’m worried about the supermarkets running out of food for them. They may start eating each other if that happens, then where will I be.
