It’s fine to label Corbyn an anti-Semite, a commie, a Russian spy, terrorist sympathiser, etc.

Mutters “stupid woman” under his breath and they’re all up in arms.

Point being the PM hasn't stood up in Parliament and said that .

Double standards yes but I can't defend Corbyn for losing his cool

Pretty sure I’ve seen her label the entire Labour Party as anti-Semitic in the chamber back when it was all at it’s height.

And the Tory party got massive flack over Windrush.

This was a personal insult albeit petty and in the heat of the moment but still an OG.

The headlines will be Corbyn should apologise not May running scared from Parliament

Its not fine at all but whereas tories get away with shitty behaviour and lies on a daily basis JC will not get away with muttering 'stupid woman'.

'Woman hating, anti-Semite, commie Russian spy terrorist sympathiser Jeremy Corbyn needs to look behind him', will be the story.

It should have been Theresa May refuses to rule out further delay to meaningful vote.

Own goal.

It looked like he said "Stuart Little" to me.

Potential unnecessary own goal by Corbyn, even if accurate.

The Tories are already going to town on it, putting themselves forward as the party to protect women's rights and tackle misogyny.

I'm surprised the Tories never made as much of a noise when Labour restored the party whip to an MP who'd sent unsolicited sexually violent text messages to a barmaid, just so they could drum up numbers for an important vote....

That was Labour, wasn't it?...

It doesn’t though!

When I saw it live i thought he said "Stupid woman", but looking at clips it does look like "Stupid people" to me.

Either way he's right, but yes it'll make headlines when they should be about how the government is a crock of shit. Tory's using anything to deflect from their own ineptitude.

Edit: After watching it again, yeah he does say "Stupid woman"

Tired and emotional.

A Daily Mail journalist was ejected from an Irish embassy reception in London after heckling the ambassador with shouts of “boring” and “Brexit”.

Joanna Bell, who also writes for the London Evening Standard, was escorted from the premises after interrupting a speech by the Irish ambassador to the UK, Adrian O’Neill, on Monday, it has emerged.

A Brexiter, Bell said she took offence at the diplomat’s reference to a possible second referendum and shouted her interjections across a room filled with British politicians and officials including the chancellor, Philip Hammond, and Jeffrey Archer.

After several outbursts she was asked to leave the embassy’s “politics and press” party, part of Westminster’s Christmas social calendar.

I really do not get people claiming that saying "stupid woman" is sexist or misogynistic. If someone cuts me up while I am driving (for example), I'll quite often mutter to myself "stupid man" or "stupid woman". The only pejorative word here is stupid.

Yeah, I agree. But it's not seen that way by those scoring points, is it. It's all about 'stupid because she's a woman'. Nobody thinks he has an issue with women, not even the Tories, but it's a chance to land a blow. He shouldn't have said it, if he even did say it, because it leaves him open.

Doesn't matter what he does or doesn’t do: the Tories and their compliant media will fling shit at him. These are the people who branded him anti-Semitic because he attended a Jewish festival with Jewish friends. They're not above making shit up.

No, clearly they're not. They're shithouses in general. I do think it matters what he does or doesn't do, though. Adding fuel to the flames, or in this case starting a fire that didn't need to be started, is just bad politics. I think Corbyn's lack of 'slickrickness' is probably one of his more endearing personality traits and why quite a few people like him, but it seems to get him into trouble sometimes. I long ago came to the conclusion that I'd sooner somebody I agreed with on 80% of the time, or even 50% of the time, that could win the election and oust the Tories, than somebody I agreed with 100% of the time and have 0% of that agenda because the Tories won. Corbyn, in my view, can't win an election. So why the fuck is he there.

I hope to God I'm wrong and this Brexit mess ends with Labour in power and us back in Europe, but Corbyn will be forever known as somebody who sat by whilst it all happened, rightly or wrongly. I guess I'm just getting tired of it all. Tired of this Tory wonderland. If I could choose, I'd have the Greens in, but that's not happening. I'd probably have the LDs in after that, assuming the Orange bookers could be tempered. Then Labour. I'd happily have a coalition of left leaning parties. But I just want a win. We on the left seem to suck at winning elections.

Whatever, I strayed enough from the point.
