We manufacture nothing, all of our major utility companies are foreign owned, we don't produce enough gas and oil for our own needs, the cost of imports are going to rise, the pound is busy dropping through the floor, we're less attractive to inward investment without using tax cuts as bribes which reduces income and the one thing we do have strength in, the financial sector, are the bunch of cuntlips who fucked every single person in this country hard up the arse and will likely see greater deregulation to keep them sweet.  Yeah it's going to be totally great.

So many fucking tits who seem to think that if we can just stop Polish people coming here we'll be in the land of milk and honey.  Simpletons.

Night GF.

Foreign utilities are going to pull the plug? Nope. They may sell but someone will buy. The pound fluctuates all the time.

No they won't pull the plug, they'll exploit our weakness like any profit minded business would.

Why would they sell when they have a captive market?

Never mind though, those new markets - the Commonwealth and beyond will have companies flocking to the UK. Where better to locate a business than the UK in order to conveniently import and export products to/from Africa, Canada and Australia!

It's not 'ergo no change'. The smooth lower and zero tariffs which we currently operate under will be gone. We now have to renegotiate those deals. We won't be getting a 'better deal' via the EU that's for certain. The staff that those European companies employ in the UK are no longer as 'flexible' in terms of being able to work at any branch across Europe. They become a less attractive proposition to a European company. Doesn't mean they pull out, doesn't mean end of the world, but it does mean they start to favour easier options within the EU.

if Labour voters in the likes of the NE think London is going to get poorer and they will benefit, they are about to be severely disappointed. It's about to get a whole lot worse. As ever, London will come out of it intact as usual. Reap what you sow.
