So GF meat eaters, where can I find the best steak in the north west? Preferably in a restaurant that serves other dishes, ie the likes of Bem Brasil are not ideal.

Hermanos. If you ever find yourself in Winnipeg this is the place. I do realize the lilklihood of any of you heathens finding yourself in Winnipeg is more remote than the face of Pluto, but nonetheless if yiu do and fancy a steak Hermano's is the place.

I went to Hawksmoor a few weeks ago, it was very nice. For the whole experience if probably say Gaucho edges it but went to Hawksmoor for lunch so might be better in the evening.

Had a very decent steak in TNQ on the High Street in Manchester.  Probably the best I've had up North.

If you like steak then I'd get to Sapporo Teppanyaki and get the fillet beef. When it gets popped on your plate it's in pieces but it's still as good as beef will taste.

Leaning towards Stu's suggestion at the moment mainly due to the range of dishes on offer (for the non meat eaters), but what is Sapporo Teppanyaki like as a dining "experience"? I've heard not great things to be honest, can you ask for a quiet table?!
