Stoke Away match thread

The players and manager should be offering up this week's salary to a cause more deserving than their own inflated bank accounts. They should also be refunding the ticket and travel cost for every unfortunate in the away end today.

I'd settle for their little fingers, yakuza style.

Didn't Sunderland players do something along those lines after a heavy away defeat.

The ticket and travel costs absolutely should be offered up.

Tomorrow is the 10th anniversary of Istanbul.  Last week we got turned over by Palace.  At home.  Today we get utterly shitstabbed by Stoke City.  And the scoreline didn't flatter them either.  Stoke fucking City.  A decade ago we were beating some of the best sides in Europe.

The wheels have well and truly come off the wagon.  The club might be on a stable financial footing after the unsavoury episode with Cancer and Aids, but fuck me what a price we've paid on the pitch.

I'm not a fan of sacking managers in knee-jerk fashion, but looking at the way our transfers have worked out I'd be just as concerned that the owners would apply the same selection process to a replacement manager.

What a fucking mess.

You know what sticks out for all the wrong reasons from your post? Mike Ashley gave a very rare interview on Sky before the Toon game today. He came across with all the charm you'd expect Savile to have, handing a backstage pass for Totp to a teenager, but the line 'stable financial footing' came up more than once as his defence.

Worrying.
