Mates son (14) was beaten up in mistaken identity by 3 adults recently (3/4 weeks ago) but by pure chance he knows we're they live and what car they drove.

Despite also sayin he'd recognise males again and police saying they would pay them visit within 48 hours...............,..absolutely fuck all has happened,all they've done is "Driven Up The Street and looked for the car" despite him giving them the exact address.its truly unbelievable that they haven't done anything!

Are they just saying nothing has happened yet or are they truly useless?

Your mate needs to go into the cop hop where he reported it and speak to the duty sargeant. Ask him what's being done about 3 adults who dished out GBH on a 14 year old lad. When he says fuck all, he needs to ask why when they have all the info.

 

If they dont give him any confidence in this, he needs to start the complaint process.

Just don't drive there, you might get done for speeding or not having insurance or road tax. Don't take a dog, if it shits and you don't pick it up you'll be fined for that, carry an open beer can and you could get fined for that. Be careful if you're smoking, not because it's dangerous around petrol (although it is) but you might get fined for smoking if there are kids about.

 

You'll likely be picked up by cctv and they'll find you anyway, having reported them you'll be the main suspect.

 

The police have no respect these days because they don't deserve it. They've happily slipped in to the role of government tax collectors and their pawns. Meh, CCTV. The second time my dad has his car burnt out, it was in the driveway, and we had CCTV of it. Earlier that day, a guy ran into his car and they swapped details, so it was obviously this guy who did it. We had him on film and everything, the police just weren't arsed.
