If anyone has a Nespresso machine and a Home and Bargain near them they have got a glut of made in italy "Espresso Italia" Nespresso compatible pods £1 for 10. 

 

Bought a pack yesterday to gauge the quality.  Very nice, smooth and great crema, not super intense, ideal morning coffee.   Had both as espresso short and a lungo this morning and they passed the Paulie D taste test so I've just bought 20 boxes which will do me til the new year (even with the french ma in law staying for a fortnight and she batters them)

Black coffee is the way forward. Make sure you put a stroopwafel on top of the cup for 5 minutes so the middle of it melts in the steam.

Yep, it's like arguing over beer or wine. Both are good, why limit yourself?

 

Instant coffee is horrendous shite though, Nespresso not much better and most coffee shops in the UK are pretty crap really.

I like Dutch coffee and UK tea.

 

I've never been in one of the name brand chain coffee shops and won't touch instant coffee. You can make a decent cup of coffee in about the same time as it takes to make a cup of tea with a teabag.
