US Masters 2015

Spieth totally deserved the win as he held up brilliantly under pressure and never once looked in danger, which is great credit to him.

However, from what I saw of the action (which was most of it), he got four or five very nice bits of fortune which made it easier than it may otherwise have been.

For example, a bounce out from the trees (on 13 I think), a sideways hop over a bunker into three feet for a tap in birdie (on the 9th on either Friday or Saturday).

Having a 'major' at the same course every year is a farce. Its why there are usually players who win it multiple times and those who constantly struggle, horses for courses. The Opens are the ones I consider worthy of their major titles and even the USPGA can be played on tough courses,Whistling Straits etc, but not the Masters imo.

Speith will no doubt continue to do well there in the coming years and most likely win it again at some stage.

I think having a major at the same venue every year adds to its allure, especially one with the history and beauty of Augusta.

Players who initially struggle go out and reshape their swings and games to better handle the test.
