You can do, yes, you don't have to though. Soldado wasn't unsuited to the league, he was unsuited to Tottenham's tippy tappy football. In fact, he was playing a more English style of football in Spain than he did here.

Who the fuck is Jokovic?

I agree in part to what you are saying, the value is abroad, but our best signings these past few years seem to be Milner, Clyne, and some kid from Charlton.

I think Coutinho is comfortably the best signing of the last few years but fair enough on Milner and Clyne. We seemed to get reasonable value in the Clyne deal as well. I'm not sure this is generally the case though. Possibly Southampton felt sorry for us having stiffed us so badly with Lovren and Lallana.

Yep, Coutinhino has been our best signing since Suarez, but people bulked at us signing Milner. When we were linked with Ashley Williams most said not good enough, Man Utd spent 16 mil on Rojo.

I'd be quite happy now to have Skirtle, Shako, Williams and young Gomes as our centre half's.

Sturridge is our best signing of the last few years. 44 Starts in the league, 35 goals and 11 assists. £12m for a young English striker, takes the piss really.

I'd agree with you if he wasn't made of Feta.

But £8.5m for a player worth £20m at the time, probably about £40m now, and £55m when he goes to Barcelona next summer.
