It's an interesting one. I regard Gerrard as our greatest ever player, within  the context of the era, but never took a shine to him, likewise Owen or Suarez, so wouldn't have them in this side.

Was a toss up between them to be fair, but (possibly wrongly) his bellwhiffery as already stated as a pundit swayed my judgment.

 

Souness was a big favourite of mine as a player and would have made the line up - as we all know an immense player, but he gets binned here due to what he did.

 

Its a good topic and not easy to choose.

A few square pegs in round holes, I know, but it's a result of shoehorning a few in. I was genuinely stumped for a left back because since I started watching us in the mid-90's, every one seems to have been shite, so plumped for Flanno in the end because I love his enthusiasm and commitment. Plus, his goal at White Hart Lane was one of the highlights of the season, for me.
