  1. 1. What do you think of Brendan Rodgers?

    • I despise him
    • even when we were playing great last season, I couldn't stand him
    • he deserves as much credit as anyone for last season
    • he was lucky last season
    • I want him out
    • I hold him responsible for our poor signings this season
    • I have always been embarrassed listening to his interviews
    • he's an excellent manager
    • I love him
    • he gets until at least the end of the season
    • defensively he hasn't a clue
    • last season was down to Suarez
    • I don't mind his chat
    • he overachieved last season
    • he's wasted £100m+ and doesn't deserve another penny
    • he needs backing from the board and money for players in January
    • I trust him to turn it around
    • if we return to playing something close to last seasons football I'll give him another season
    • sack him now, install an interim manager and get simeone, klopp or someone in the summer
    • get rafa now
  2. 2. Should Rodgers be sacked immediately?

At the time of that terrible run of losing 5 of 6 games I genuinely thought he should leave.

But he has turned it around, and its a credit to him. He changed the formation and got confidence back in the players. He's not afraid to make big decisions and Markovic, Moreno Can and Lallana all look like they will turn out to be really good buys for us.

I remember when we were playing rubbish I said Rodgers should be sacked and a United fan I work with told me he thought Rodgers was one of the best coaches in the league and that if we got rid of him we would regret it. I am starting to think he was right.

That transfer committee needs to be abolished too.

The man himself didn't seem to think so Stu.

Anyone who'd ever seen Balotelli would tell you that, whatever strengths he may or may not have, 'high intenisty play' is as anathema to him as it is to Rick Waller, the fact this only seemed to become clear after actually having him at Melwood is a casue for concern. I've heard Rodgers say similar things about other players.

Didn't seem to think what?

How on earth does that indicate that he wasn't aware of Balotelli's ability before he was signed by the club.

He called him a punt for Christ's sake. He knew he wasn't the answer to our prayers!

'Italian striker Mario Balotelli joined Liverpool FC for £16m from AC Milan in the summer of 2014, having previously played for Manchester City and Inter Milan. He is as well known for his off-the-pitch activities as on-field achievements, but is a phenomenal tale'

That's from the Echo?? Im pretty sure we own the mad fucker

interesting thought, this one - we will definitely have more opportunities as we will have a natural finisher in the box, but I do sometimes wonder whether Sturridge's 'selfishness' does encourage others to make the mythical lung bursting run into space, or to flood the box.

A minor point, I admit, but it would be splendid if Sturridge can add awareness to his bulging portfolio.

I would be happy for now if Sturridge just added a few appearances to his none too impressive tally

Like puppies are for life not just to give back after Christmas. Unfortunately our puppy can't be house-trained.

Some proper "characters" on here!

You're always moaning about this place, Brownie. To the point where it makes you come across as a bit of a quim. I'm not a "proper character", just someone who thinks this place provides a relatively enjoyable way of killing time. I could and really should use that time more productively but can't be arsed. I like intentionally shit jokes and I like doing intentionally shit jokes to death. Deal with it.

Self explanatory really. You asked me what made me think he wasn't aware of Balotelli's ability before he signed him, and he says in his own words that 'since working with him' it's clear he can't play our style of high intensity football so they're basically having to work around him.

You never raised the issue of whether or not he was a punt, you explicitly asked what made me think he didn't know what Ballotelli was like before we signed him.

Balotelli hasnt played as a lone forward at any point of his career for a sustained period, Rodgers now knows he cant but he could add something with a partner up front which I would assume was the plan when we signed him.
