The shitness of modern football

Burnley are a good role model for those types of teams. Huddersfield have the added advantage of good German manager too.

West Brom as well, they went up and down a few times in succession (I think) improving the structure of the club living within their means and building gradually.

It'd be different for a club like Newcastle but it's an entirely acceptable model for a club like Huddersfield.

The PL's short term cost control measures might even give an 'unfair' advantage to some of the bigger championship teams (especially those who have restructured from a recent relegation) going forward and result in a bigger risk of the middle to lower half premier league teams being relegated with more promoted teams surviving in the future.

Welcome to the top tier of the second rung of the Premier League. An 18 team premier league and a top half of the Championship now make up England's 'elite.'

I wish them well as I fondly remember us beating them at Anfield and it being the main match on kick off on the sunday afternoon, roughly 45 years ago or so.

The list of ex-Liverpool players hit with a big tax bill after the Ingenious Film Partners scheme was ruled to be illegitimate tax avoidance:

Steven Gerrard

Jamie Carragher

Emile Heskey

Dominic Matteo

Danny Murphy

John Arne Riise

Robbie Keane

Imagine Bob Paisley walking into the dressing room and telling Souness,Case and McDermott they were doing a skin care advert after training.

He had to walk into the dressing room watching them fix their perms.
