The shitness of modern football

I remember it being 3/- (that's 3 shillings for you youngsters) on the Kop and 6d for the boys pen. Even when I was young enough (under 14 or whatever it was), not only was there no way I was going in there but you wouldn't stand close to it. It was a cage (literally) full of what appeared to be the roughest toughest that Liverpool could offer. And they made them rough and tough in those days. Rabid rottweilers were pussies by comparison.

Fucking great times though.

It was 20p into the Boys Pen , with a surcharge of every other penny you had in your pockets & most of your clothes being stolen also by children turned away by Fagin ( not Joe ) for having a bad attitude.

Indeed, a school of hard knocks. Remember there was always a Bobby standing guard at the gap in the railings that separated the Kop. He was very reluctant to leave his post when a fight or mugging broke out knowing the moment he left his station there would be an immediate exodus. There was always some mad fuckers climbing up into the rafters too.

Fifa also wants to introduce a new global Nations League based on the format of Uefa's Nations League, which started in September.

The new Club World Cup and global Nations League would be projected to generate $25bn (£17.9bn) in revenue, with the investment coming from a consortium led by Japan's SoftBank,

But with Fifa facing scrutiny over potential financial links with Saudi Arabia, the documents outline how the organisation "would not enter into a joint venture for this purpose, whether directly or indirectly, with sovereign wealth funds of individual states".

Jumpers for goalposts, etc.
