The shitness of modern football

Joleon Lescott: Unlike with City, I don't see Liverpool as a machine where it doesn't matter too much who is playing. With City you just know that it is going to happen - that whoever is in that position at that time will score for them. With Liverpool it feels like it is individual brilliance that wins games for them, rather than patterns of play.

modern idiotic punditry at its best. Ill informed garbage from an imbecile

Looks like they've tightened up at the back without blunting their attack.

I think the opponents were a man light after half time because one of them was called out to fix a water leak.

Bayern Munich warmed-up for the start of the Bundesliga season with a 23-0 win over amateur side FC Rottach-Egern.

They beat them 20-2 last year too.

What's this, the football version of of Le Dîner de Cons? Arrange to play pre-season friendlies just to laugh at them, and just to be cruel, do it the following year?

They're playing Everton next pre-season. A battle to the death between the 22-0 European Supergiants.

It's the norm in Germany though isn't it. I remember the German national team playing local semi pro teams in warm ups before aswell. I think its pretty cool for the teams, they know they'll get smashed by gives the chance to play the top pros

Laurent Koscielny’s end to his Arsenal career can go in here. Just been reading about it. Refusing to go on tour. Ripping his Arsenal shirt off to reveal the shirt of his new club Bordeaux when he signed for them. Just seems really fucking weird behaviour from someone who was a senior pro. Club captain and spent the previous 9 years of his career at Arsenal. Why would you sour your relationship with the fans of a club you’ve been with for nearly 10 years to go to a relative minnow in an inferior league?

They really don’t give a shit do they?

I think he is a strange one. Didn't he say during the World Cup that he didn't want France to win it because he hadn't been picked.

Having to listen to yet another manager tell me how good Mesut Ozil is even though he has been dropped by said manager.

Having to listen to said manager say Mesut Ozil is available for transfer.

Having to listen to people saying Mesut Ozil shouldn't be on the bench

And....

Having to listen to anything about Ozil
