Got this Ralph Lauren one for $30 in 2008 still my warmest coat they were £180 here.

Passed up the chance to get a vintage Gloverall a while back; probably '60s, but in great nick and easily would've outlasted me. They're like woolen bulletproof coats, no wind's getting through them.

With woollen coats, it tends to be a case of you get what you pay for. I’d always want the wool content to be as high as possible. Those Montgomery ones are only about 70% wool, I think. I love duffle coats, the only problem I have with them is, most of them are unlined, which means they rub against jumpers and make them bobbly.
