Could have sworn that there's already a thread about cover versions which a better than the original songs (but couldn't find it, sorry), but you've got to check and compare these...

Firstly, the original by Berlin...

Fucking hell, how shit was that ?!

Next, the cover version by Nathaniel Merriweather's Lovage...

Fucking hell, how good is that ?! Is it even the same song ?

Best album I've heard in a very long time, thanks to Setreal for the heads up.

Whats the story behind that then mate?

Staggered in pissed one dinner time, got told to fuck off in no uncertain terms. Continued drinking all afternoon down in Greenwich Village, stumbled back into CBGB's later on and got chucked out after stage diving.

It was a Country and Western gig with only around a dozen people there mind.

FUCK OFF AND DON'T COME BACK ! Haha.

For those who don't know already...PUBLIC ENEMY live at Liverpool O2 Academy, Weds 2nd December.

Saw them headline the Stockton festival summer 2014 and they were fantastic, Chuck D is one of the best frontmen in the history of ever, Flavour Flav was surprisingly brilliant and their band was great.

One of hip hops only truly great bands, recommended.
