Tommy Burns dying hit me. I had the pleasure of meeting him at an old firm match years ago. I had corporate tickets and as I walked back to my seat after half time he was stood at the top of the stairs talking with people. I went "alright Tommy" as I walked past and he stopped his convinced, held his hand out and went "alright son". He didn't need to do that. Real gent of a man. Loved his religion and his club. He died the morning after r*ngers lost to zenit and their fans smashed Manchester to bits. His testimonial back in the 80's was against Liverpool. I've got the programme somewhere my dad gave me.

Talking of Argentine internationals

Anyone remember Lucho Gonzalez the Porto midfielder?

Well he's been arrested for trying to kill his wife

So he's not dead then. Mind you, if he gets send down, he will have to wrestle with the notion that Lucho is not libre.

Apologies for the Daily Heil link, the BBC doesn't deem it important enough to cover...

My brother lives in Sheffield, he says the whole city is in mourning. He was obviously very popular there.
