Poor individually at the back, poor collectively at the back. Lacking impetus in the middle and predictable up front.

 

Needs sorting soon, before this turns into a rot. A lot for Rodgers to think about and do, and some players need to take a long hard look at themselves.

I can't stand the guy. BUT. When Mourinho's teams are playing fucking dirge, they go through a period where they drill the defence and grind out 0-0 or 1-0 for 6-8 weeks. They then slightly tweak the defense-attack mix to be more positive and go on from there. We just can't fucking do it. Two primary reasons:

 

1) Rodgers does not know how to set up a team to defend and he clearly doesn't know a decent centre back when he sees one.

 

2) We don't have a defensive midfielder who can screen the two clueless central defenders Rodgers has signed. Instead we have Stevie, an ageing attacking midfielder, who really should be playing 15 games a season now tops - in a role where he doesn't have to defend much. Last year we got away with it because mosts teams shat themselves based on Sterling/Suarez/Sturridge. 

 

I'm sick of seeing this fucking comedy football now. Get some players in who can defend or fuck off.
