Sturridge really worked his nuts off again tonight - not his night in front of goal but the right-footed effort that Hart saved was quality - if only we had another actual striker making runs off him to take defenders away - now we'll have that.

 

Gerrard was superb in the first half then not really in the game in the second half at all. It's starting to become a theme - his fitness has to be a concern and we need cover at DM. Thank fuck he's finished with England; if only had done it 4 years ago.
