Great New York Movies

Mrs Paul and I were watching Moonstruck last night and it struck me how very "New York" it is with its locations, accents, imagery and humour. Some of the character acting in it is superb, as are the one liners. However, it got me to thinking about just how many great NYC movies there are.

Some of my favourites:

When Harry Met Sally

State of Grace

In my opinion, between them,  Scorcese and DeNiro have this thread covered.

Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, The King of Comedy, Meanstreets, Raging Bull, take your pick.

Spike Lee just called. He said, "You racist, mother fucker!!!". Woody Allen was going to call but he had a headache/borderline brain tumour.
