I'll vote in September.   Having someone worth talking about to fill in for Sturridge will make or break our season.  He will miss games & he will have off games.  It's pivotal we sign someone else upfront.   The difference could be as massive as challenging for the title or not being good for top four.

If we get another forward in :

Prem : 3rd-4th

CL : Knockout stages

FA Cup : depends on draw

League Cup : depends on draw

If we don't get another forward :

Prem : 5th-6th (Sturridge will miss games and lack of firepower will see silly points dropped)

CL : Drop into Europa - finish 3rd in CL group)

Domestic Cups : Draw dependant.

5th

Round of 16/ Last 8 of CL

Domestic cups - I went "pretty shit", but really I just think someone will do a number on us late in the competitions. SFs League Cup, Last 8/16 of FA Cup.

I think we could finish as high as 3rd if we signed a really good striker in the next couple of weeks. I don't think we'll be any lower than 5th. Everton will be 7th at the highest, and I can see Tottenham really struggling to score many goals. Even with, as I anticipate, an improved Soldado.

Alot depends on if we sign a decent striker to be honest. If we do then I can see us fighting it out with Chelsea and Arsenal. My gut feeling is city wwill be third at best this season.

Also if United can keep van persie fit then they will be in the mix for a top 4 ,but if they dont then I can see them struggling again.

Champions league I think we could surprise a few teams if we play the same way we do in the league, and knockout stages at the least.

Domestic cups wouldnt be surprised to get to the final of one and knocked out early in the other.

The worst I can see us finishing in the league is 5th.

On the assumption that we bring in Moreno, a striker of reasonable quality, and Wenger once again fails to bring in a midfielder with a solid backbone:

League - 4th. I think we'll pip Arsenal to it. Sanchez is a great signing, but like Oezil last year he's a fancy sticking plaster on their knee when their foot's gone gangrenous. Barring Ramsey that central midfield is ponderous and easily bullied; they'll fall away once they reach the knock out stages of the CL and hit a tough fixture schedule.

CL - out at the group stage. I think we may fall just short of qualifying for the next round. Our current European ranking means we'll be facing one or two top sides and I'm still unsure of how some of our players will react to playing on those nights. Will we just try to blitz teams in the CL? I think we'll be high on nervous energy, play some blinding football and be a bit shaky too.

Cups - I put "a bit shit", but really it depends on the fixtures, home or away and shit refereeing. If we had Arsenal's fixtures last season we'd have an extra FA Cup, I'm sure of that. If it was an option, I'd have probably gone for "a decent run, but falling short".

I look back on last season and that unbelievable run we went on including winning at places we never seem to win at and I just think "we won't do that again" Our home form was sensational and I think "we won't do that again"

Then I think "Sod it, we will, we are boss"

Basically, I don't know.

But I hope it is as an exciting ride as it was last season

Do some of yous lot not realise how ace we are?

My feelings exactly. It will be between us, City and Chelsea for the title, with United, Arsenal and Spurs battling for 4th (some way behind the top 3). I think we'll come 2nd again. We'll make the knockout stages of the Champions League, win a domestic cup, then win absolutely everything the following season.

We are going places under Rodgers, and those places aren't just 'close but no cigar' sorts of places. They're 'we own the fucking world' sorts of places.

I can buy into this and would buy into this fully, if it wasn't for the oil money clubs.

They can just buy it away from anybody when they want to.

Man City come from nowhere to winning it twice in 3 years, now they are there any slip will just be corrected with more money and it's much easier for them to just tart up the engine than the rebuild their money let them do when they were nowhere.

Chelsea the same.

Yep, though possibly they'll be the team we'll pip to fourth. I think Van Gaal will get them playing like Chelsea last year, boring their way into the top four and settling for attritional 0-0s in all the big games.

I think they've only got 2 players that would get anywhere near our team.

we'll win the league at a canter; get to the semis of the CL; the final of the League Cup or whatever it's called and we'll win the FA Cup

I will win £40 mill on the Lottery and discover a lot tribe of Amazonians who all bear an uncanny resemblance to either Cameron Diaz or Olivia Wilde.

World Peace will be declared and hunger eliminated

We need to sign a top goalscorer to have any chance of doing anything. With just Dan who gets injured and Lambert who dosent imo fit in and Borini the jinxed Italian we have a problem.

We have all seen what a top striker who isnt injury prone can do for a team. The best seasons we have had for years was with Suarez and a fresh faced Torres.

United without Van Persie fit a mid table side but we arnt as bad as them luckily. If we can get somebody in then this season could be spectacular.

I'd take De Gea, Mata, Kagawa, Herrera and RVP.

I think there's not a huge amount between the two squads. Hopefully Rodgers' positivity proves to trump LVG's methodical defensive approach, but I think those expecting Utd to be similar to the team under Moyes will be in for a shock, sadly.

Our two best performers last season, Luis Suarez and David Moyes, have gone. It's going to be hard.

To be fair the mancs and chelsea have also lost Howard Webb, they will really miss him.
