he's mental but he's also a phenomenal footballer when he's arsed, at Milan most times he looks he'd rather be at home playing playstation or eating pizza with his mom. I think Peters + Rodgers would sort his head, he definitely has the ability to become one of the best strikers in the world. For ~15mil I'd take him in a heartbeat.

I think they want someone who has the spark of genius that we had with Suarez. It's debatable that we would consistently get that from Ballotelli but have you ever seen it from Bony? He's solid but not particularly exciting is he?

 

There's no other forward out there that's going to be that spark. We've proven susceptible to the park the bus strategy and been unsuccessful WITH Luis. I personally don't see us breaking teams down with Lambert, but Bony can impose his will on defenders.

 

Whether he's worth the price it would take, probably not. But we'll be lucky if we make top four this season. It appears that a lot of folks think we're "one marquee forward away" from winning the league.

I don't think Arsenal are comfortably better than us, Chelsea play a style that sees them defending more often than not and so like us with Rafa are susceptible to the random upsets and a lot of draws but they do have the squad depth obviously, the mancs should be better under Van Gaal but I don't think they'll be THAT much better and honestly I've got no clue what spurs have done but I'm not too worried about them either.

The mancs have the same advantage we did last year. City and the chavs will be there. Arsenal seem to always be there as well and I think the blueshite and spurs will continue to be wild cards like us. Obviously we are better but they are improving.

 

We have a lot of new players, young players who won't all come good this season. No Luis. Glen fucking Johnson will still be on the payroll and Europe to contend with (a good problem to have). If you think we are a lock for top four you are more confident than I. If we don't finish top four that fucks up the plan. I don't see a title push this year, be happy to be wrong.

I think we'll make top 4 comfortably, I would say however that a title push probably depends on how far we get in the CL unless all our of new signings hit the ground running which as you said probably isn't happening. That's without taking injuries into account either.
