Mario Balotelli

I thought he fed on scraps tonight.  He's not the same player as Suarez, or even the same type of player as Suarez, so surely you have to take that into account when analysing his performance.

Forget Suarez, Balotelli should aspire to be the new Luigi Riva.  And if we're going to play him, we should be providing him with the sort of service on which he can thrive.

This.  I can't fault the lad.  He's a good player playing in a system at the minute that doesnt suit him.

He's a damn sight better than Lambert or Borini, but he's no replacement for Suarez. He'll be more effective when playing off Sturridge.

Bar Ronaldo or Messi there isn't a replacement for Suarez, replacing Suarez was never going to happen, we could have done a lot better with our spending though, it was and still is extremely frustrating why we didn't go balls out for a genuine top class player like Reus.

He's not a bad player obviously, does a lot of things right. Very strong and skillful, extremely hard to knock off the ball. Also his workrate has been a positive surprise.

Only problem is that he doesn't seem to be at all suited to the way we play, try to play, or at least played last season.

He's not suited.  So we have to organise ourselves differently.

For a big powerful lad he looks less likely to score than Heskey.

Yet another example of a cult player. Cult players = shite but with a wacky nature or hair style, but shite none the less. Can never be arsed with players who the fans feel they have to encourage to put a shift in and then be grateful to them when they do. Garbage, the idea that we were 'dead against it' before desperately trying to take him on loan then actually spunking money on him shows you how utterly fucking hopeless and disjointed our transfer policy is. Heartbreaking, here comes another few fucking years in the wilderness

It's obvious Brendon did'unt want him is'unt it , theres some kind of rift in the camp. Him and Sakho were committee signings by all accounts.  I feel for Balotelli in a way because he's actually done nothing wrong, infact his attitude has been very good. The best way to shut up his critics is to score goals, but thats a tough ask for him as he does not fit the team at the moment.

With the way Rodgers likes to play, dangerous strikers are fundamental. Particularly quick ones with loads of movement. If you were compiling a list of strikers in the summer to play for us, Balotelli wouldn't even be a consideration. Stinks of desperation, and I said as much when we signed him.
