On the plus side he's only 24, has a point to prove and is undeniably a talent.

On the negative side Rodgers will have another character to manage and the UK media will be all over him. I'm surprised FSG are willing to risk it.

Well according to the press it's not happening. We're beginning to look a tad desperate now aren't we. We've clearly got money to spend but there's absolutely zero strategy.

None of the articles I've read say that. They all state we've made a bid, each article has a different fee, and don't say whether it's happening one way or another.

I can't see how someone so lazy would fit the way we play and I'd be concerned of the effect his poor work ethic could have on others. I also think his ability is way over-played and that he is not the special talent he is proclaimed to be.

If we sign him he will end up among our worst ever signings in my opinion.

I really think this is a bad move. He'll unsettle the whole show. I'm already imagining Gerrard bollicking him for not passing when he shoots from 40 yards and then sulks and gets booked. One of the best bets you can do is back balotelli to get booked in a game. He's a moron. This interview with Shitcoat sums up the dopey fuck. No thanks. (BTW I reserve the right to love him if we sign him and he scores a hat trick against the mancs)

I guess the one good thing for me is the similarity with the signing of Sturridge, another player who when we signed him was sort of in the last chance saloon with going to a big club and if it hadn't worked out he was going to spend the rest of his career in at mid-table clubs like Utd.

Sturridge though has embraced that and got even better so hopefully if we get him this loon he can do the same......

My thoughts too.

I dont think we're actually going to buy anyone.

To be fair, good strikers are like rocking horse shit, which is why they're going for stupid money.
