I like New Balance but the suede on those ones reminds me of the fluff/lint that accumulates in my tumble dryer.

I've got pairs of Adidas that have lasted 20 odd years & never had any issues with comfort other than one pair of Gazelles, which made my heel bleed a wee bit (which a plaster fixed).

It seems like. They seem to be either a flat shoe replacement or like those thick soled running trainies. The old casuals were a mixture of both but with a bit of a soft undersole and heel.
