Poor mans John Arne Riise. Nearly cost us a penalty at 2-0 as well. Too many brainfart moments for me from him. He can't defend and when he gets forward, 9 times out of time 10 his final ball is poor or he blazes the ball way off target. He wont be our first choice LB next season. That's if he's still here at all.

He's always got this in him. As Ive said before, he either needs to learn to defend and quickly (unlikely) or he'll be fucked off by Klopp (likely).

As I've always said on here, I don't mind him. He's tenacious and quick. He does make a few mistakes, but he's still young and surely can still improve. I typically like my full backs to be able to defend first and foremost; Markus Babbel, Arbeloa, but I don't know.. I really don't want us to spend big money on a full back.

Last season, Lovren didnt make half the mistakes as this lad continues to do and was roundly condemned as a liability.

Quickness means fuck all when you cant defend, cant shoot and give away needly stupid fouls in dangerous areas.

We wont have to spend silly to get an upgrade.

No. When 3/4 of the posters in this thread imply that Moreno is fucking shite then that is hyperbole because it is objectively not true. Criticism of his positionning or his occasional rashness is obviously fine and warranted but some of the posts in here are way over the top and frankly, absolutely clueless.

I can't wait til you complete your fifa badges and start turning your superior knowledge into results.

I'm firmly in the Alberto camp. Moreno will be our 1st choice LB next year (injuries permitting) too, deal with it. As for this "always out of position" nonsense, do you not think Klopp would have sat him on the bench if he thought this (Moreno's often advanced position) was a problem? The high up the pitch positioning is one of the reasons our FBs need to be quick and have great stamina, to get back fast enough to help out after providing an attacking outlet to begin with. The pace/fitness (lack of it) is also why the forum golden boy Flanno will never be 1st choice under Klopp, while Moreno is and will continue to be.

Annoying that he doesn't get more credit, but haters gonna hate I suppose...

I dont think he will be 1st choice left back next season. He's only first choice this season because he has enrique who for want of a better word, is being forced out of the club and brad smith as competition.

Its not a question of 'hate' as you put it, its a question of not being good enough.

He's a regular starter because the alternatives are a reserve player who might not have the makings of a top flight player and a professional social media monkey.

Nah, not having that. He could have played both Milner and Can at RB and Clyne at LB if Moreno was as bad as most on here are making out. He's unorthodox, has an annoying haircut and isn't Scouse while many on here pine for local lad Flanagan to oust him. Not going to happen. Not holding my breath for offers for either Rodriguez or Hector or other potential first teamers at LB. Chilwell I can see happening, as Enrique seems done, and Smith isn't good enough/hasn't got enough potential. Would be a good understudy if he's as talented as our scouts seem to think
