Mignolet

Why didn’t he just use two hands on that second one? Two hands. He could’ve just parried it out as it was straight down the middle of the goal. Trying to go for the Hollywood option using one hand to make it look like a harder save. The fucking useless cunt. Absolutely sickening 5 minutes of football. You have to pinch yourself to make sure you aren’t seeing things. Like Lovren against Tottenham. It’s almost surreal the capacity these cunts have to fucking shoot themselves in the foot.

Can is another one who is frequently guilty of that.

Melwood needs to be plastered with motivational posters, all with the same message - YOU ARE NOT AS GOOD AS YOU THINK YOU ARE.

Fabianski (Swansea) 2.54

Courtois (Chelsea) 2.50

Ederson (Man City) 2.50

Foster (West Brom) 2.46

Speroni (Palace) 2.10

Other 'popular' keepers:

Lloris (Spurs) - 1.78

Cech (Arsenal) - 1.70

Simon Mignolet: 1.10. The lowest in the Premier League.

Unbelievable stats that, just unbelievable. Are they real?

They've comfortably got two better keepers, like most teams in the league.

It's mad the way they've been taken in by the myth of Joe Hart.  He managed 3 clean sheets in 14 league games for them, until Adrian took his place for the City game.  Since then, Adrian has managed 3 clean sheets in 4 league games.

A halfway decent keeper can make all the difference in the world.  He doesn't have to be a De Gea or Courtois - Hell, even Adrian can make a difference!  The key is not to keep putting your faith in a keeper who is shit, like Joe Hart or like our "Good Shot-Stopper".

Cheers. Both absolutely shite.

Yup. Very few top goalies out there. OBlak would be far too expensive. Allison is the only top goalkeeper out there we could get. We would have to fork out £30-40 million at least. And after we practically stole Salah from Roma for £38 million they'll make sure they get every last penny from us for Allison. Just cant see us spending that on a goalkeeper

Can is fucking awful ,every time he passes to somebody it's never where the player wants it or expects it, they always have to stretch or check back to keep possession .

Even at the end of the game he was in a great position to cross but no he had to have that extra couple,of touches and the defender recovered.

It was his stupid cunting left hand as well, trying to do a one handed save with weakest hand.

Neither are arguments against what I have said.

Ederson, Lloris, De Gea and Courtois are all considerably better goalkeepers than Cech.

That said, Cech is still considerably better than Mignolet.

Agreed. Both are further examples of the best goalkeepers in the world making costly mistakes.

I disagree.

Lloris has made plenty of mistakes this season.

Ederson made a really stupid mistake against Shakhtar Donetsk.

All goalies make mistakes but Mignolet makes howlers which decide games and cost points.

Just like Lovren and Moreno, Mignolet is so mentally fragile that once a first howler is made he panics and goes to pieces. In a goalie or a centre half (or in our case, in a goalie AND a centre half), this mania is akin to dropping a fox into a hen house.

Kloppo must play Karius for the rest of the season, if only to see whether or not the lad can make it as our no1. If not then we spend big in the summer, and it's crucial we bring in the right man.

Cech made exactly the same mistake that decided the game and cost them points!! I don’t recall Mignolet making any mistake after the second goal.

The difference is that (the overrated imo) Cech is made of far sterner stuff. His brain isn't constructed of straw and dogshit.

Really, Mignolet is like an amalgamation of the Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion from The Wizard Of Oz.

And Lovren plays like Dorothy.

Unless he starts making mistakes every game I’d keep him as first choice for the season. Say we drop him for Karius, and then he makes a costly mistake... what then?

Also, Petr Cech overrated?
