Selling Sakho

  1. 1. Would it be a mistake to sell him?

He was outstanding today, but people need to wind the hyypia comparisons in though. Hyypia would not have done that shit against Chelsea that sakho did. I'll never fully trust him until he come through a massive game without looking like a liability.

If you're referring to me I never compared him to Hyypia, at least I didn't mean to. I do however think that lack of a dominante centre back in the air has been a big problem since Hyypia left. And that Sakho is the closest so far to solving it. Apart from that they're very different type of players. And of course, Sakho's got some 5-10 years of brilliance, and trophy winning, ahead of him before he could become a true legend like Hyypia.

Just everyone going over the top with him, they did the same with lovren after one friendly against dortmund.

He played well today Sakho and has been playing well in recent weeks, so good on him.

But he has never, ever looked solid against proper top quality opposition.

When he does that, then I'll say fair fucks he's proved he is top drawer.

He did against Chelsea in the two games in the league cup we just played.

The last thing you want to do is try to reason with Coulter, mate.

He's started 9 games this season. He's been part of a defence that's kept 5 clean sheets in the process.

In the 14 games he didn't play we kept 3 clean sheets.

This is either a fantastic coincidence or people suggesting he's not ace are a bit mental.

Agreed.

Same with all the big mentals saying Lucas isn't.

Boss, has always been boss. Don't know why it took Rodgers and some fans so long to realise. The 3-4-3 system has really worked for us defensively, so well done to Brendan. The slight negative is the fact that it took injuries to Lovren and Johnson for us to get to it, though.

When you play out from the back like we do you'll always notice that misplaced passes happen a bit more frequently, law of averages and that. Combine that with the deep line they hold and a dodgy pass becomes a goal scoring opportunity 9/10 times.

Id like to see some stats that tell us which defenders give away the most goal scoring opportunities and see where Sakho ranks. I'd bet it's pretty low.
