Brendan Rodgers - LMA Manager of the Year

Recommended Posts

Congratulations to Brendan, has more than proved he belongs at this level, his vision is taking us places quickly.

Apparently Taggart presented a special merit award to Scunthorpe's Russ Wilcox, and after repeatedly congratulating himself on doing his research called him Bruce 4 times.

One of the journalists present described his performance as excruciating. Seems a long time ago already, doesn't it.

While he's helped make Liverpool a joy to watch at times we havent won anything.

Feels an empty gesture in the same way George Burley got it in 2001 when Ged had won 3 trophies and should have received it.

Should go to Pelligrini for winning two trophies regardless of whether we like it or not.

I'm not so sure Vlad.  No-one's pretending he's won anything, but it's about how you perform with the resources at your disposal.  In all honesty, a trophy or two was par with City's squad, while 2nd, and 2nd achieved playing how we did, wasn't par with ours.

How on earth does the winner of the LMA Manager of the year, not also win the manager of the year for his own league?

Manager of the year is generally given to the manager who actually won something.

LMA manager of the year is more about the manager who shows you don't have to win anything to be a winner, but he is a winner. They also have a bias against foreign managers.

Pulis did brilliantly keeping Palace up but didn't he have his feet up on the coffee table watching Loose Women for half the year in question?

Pulis done no better then poyet, Sunderland play better football and came back when noone thought possible.

With a shit load of money its very difficult to move a team from 7th to the top four, rodgers has spent less then other clubs and got us challenging for the title, an outstanding achievement and he should have won all the awards for best manager this season.

I noticed it didnt hinder Rodgers being from the British Isles.

As for not having the resources available,we do have a £24 million striker and his £12 million strike partner supplied by about £30 million plus worth of midfielders. All about degrees I suppose.
