  1. 1. Do you consider this season a success?

Tell you what, I couldn't be arsed getting wound up about city's money, seemed a bit petty, but they were saying on North West Tonight it's not just the most expensive squad in football, but 'global sport', and mentioned the fact they'd broken the fair play regs. It's like getting beaten in the 100m sprint by someone driving a Trans Am.

The aim of this season was to get back into the Champions League. We've managed that with games to spare.

When you achieve your objective it's usually called a success.

success no, massive improvement yes

Definitely a success considering we finished 7th last year and spent nowhere as much as Man City, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Man Utd spent on players throughout the year and inspite of all this, we finished 2nd. Read it again - 2!

We dazzled the league with our playing style and everyone in Europe is taking notes of how we have played and are definitely in awe. Managers/ Players all over are all talking about us e.g. Pep. Who would have imagined this at the start of the season.

From "our objective is to be in CL" to "automatic qualification assured" and with a shout of the title in the last day is astounding. We might not have a cup to show for our efforts but there is plenty of momentum that is building up.

I can see SD's point on this if by success you mean winning trophies he has a very fair point.

But if you judge success by improvement and expectation then yes its been a success.

Next season is a lot more exciting because of this improvement but we have to expect some bumps in the road along the way.

For me the way we ended the season still leaves a few question marks over Rodgers but hopefully he will learn from them and be ok.

With CL football next season top 4 will be a very good effort and transfers will govern where our owners priorities lie.

I hope they are thinking beyond the Arsenal model.
