Could be suspended if she's very lucky. Maybe she could get community service under the new initiative from the Tories to allow convicted drink drivers who are currently banned back behind the wheel of petrol tankers.

I'd be surprised. The judge will be conscious of the public scrutiny of the case. 6 months in Holloway, out in 3 with a christmas book deal and on the GMB sofa within hours of leaving the prison gates

She's charged with disqualified driving and no insurance - both summary only (must be heard in the magistrates' court). The maximum sentence is six months in total. If she pleads guilty on the first occasion she will be entitled to a third credit off any sentence so the maximum sentence becomes four months. Note I am not saying she will get the maximum sentence, or even an immediate custodial sentence, although if she has five previous convictions for disqualified driving (as mentioned above) I'd be very surprised if she didn't.

 

I see the family are putting it out there that they are 'concerned about her welfare and mental health.'
