If nothing else, it’s impressive that he’s still finding new excuses to miss international friendlies.

I'm sure he'd like to bang miss International.

Love this about why they wouldn't sign Thiago. Pity he won't take over from the Goblin.

When he got to Giggsy, who was last, (Giggs) said, ‘Not a Manchester United player.’ And Moyes said, ‘Sorry I don’t know what you mean by that.’

“(Giggs) looked at Phil Neville, Phil sort of nodded, and said, ‘Look, playing for this club is more than being a footballer. It’s about your attitude. It’s about your mindset. It’s about everything that you want, everything in your body, every cell, has to want to live, play and win for Manchester United. I don’t think he’s a Manchester United player. And they immediately called off the transfer.”

Where as I love this and it’s piss funny, what the fuck?

Giggseh and Phil Neville were deciding transfers??

what is this from please?!

Match of the Day pundits:

“Ryan Giggs didn’t beat up his girlfriend. She went down too softly and made the most of the contact. Not like that cheating bastard Mo Salah.”

"If anything, he's hit her too well."

That Vanessa Peroncell who Terry shagged behind Bridges back was fit as well.

Didn't that all turn out to just be tabloid bullshit?

The now defunct Sunday version of the shit rag ended up printing this.

Quote

On January 31 and afterwards we published some personal information about Vanessa Perroncel in articles concerning an alleged affair with the footballer John Terry.

Miss Perroncel has since informed us that she would have preferred her personal information to remain private and it was untrue in any case. We apologise to Miss Perroncel for any distress caused.

Terry came out an apologised for it didn’t he?

Has anyone seen the pic of Giggs wife doing the rounds? I’ve just been sent it. Not keen on posting it on here. If it’s her it’s bad

She was boss in big brother, proper good looking girl next door, then she started mucking about with her face chasing fame.

Still nice like, but I preferred her before.

Qualities that their eventual signing obviously incapsulates.

Marouane Fellaini.

He was a real Man Utd player.

Can't be genuine, all of the news items I'm reading are saying "minor injuries that did not require treatment".

    • Fucking hell Aldo!  I agree that Rafa is too good for Everton and they'll never truly accept him but when did Aldridge get so bitter?

    • My advice to my Everton pals - don't touch Rafa Benitez with a barge pole - John Aldridge   EVERTON are flirting with the idea of appointing Rafael Benitez as their new manager, and my advice to them could not be clearer – don’t do it.   The prospect of a former Liverpool manager taking over at Goodison Park will send a shiver down the spine of many Evertonians, and some of my blue nose friends are not happy about it. I saw former Everton keeper Neville Southall saying their fans will never accept Benitez as manager and I think he’s spot on.   Rafa will always be a Red and even though he has made Liverpool his home and I’m sure he would love the Everton job, he is not the right fit for them.   He would stabilise Everton, get them into the top half of the table next season and might even get them near a Cup final, but the style of football he promotes and the way he does things is not to everyone’s liking. When Benitez is running a club, it’s his way or the highway and that’s not ideal if you are not one of his men. Look at the way he treated Robbie Keane after he made his dream move to Liverpool in 2008.   Of course, there are two sides to the Benitez debate and there will always be plenty of Liverpool fans who will always hold Benitez in high esteem, as he was the manager who brought the fifth European Cup to the club on that famous night in Istanbul back in 2005.   It is an achievement that can never be taken from him, but there are some myths about that night that need to be popped.   First of all, he picked the wrong team to start that final in Istanbul, as Harry Kewell should not have started and the balance of the team was all wrong as AC Milan went 3-0 ahead.   Secondly, Benitez was about to take Djimi Traore off at half-time before Steve Finnan told him he was injured, and so he had to change his plans, which was a lucky break that went his way.   And thirdly, Steven Gerrard’s iconic performance dragged Liverpool to victory that night and gave Benitez the Champions League win that will always be on his record.   Rafa’s tactics were important in getting Liverpool through to that 2005 Champions League final and he was also inventive, as his side reached the 2007 final of that competition as well.   Yet the way it ended for him at Liverpool should not be forgotten.   He gave the green light for the club to sign way too many players who were not good enough to play for Liverpool reserves and you have to ask why those players ended up at the club?   Management is a lucrative game these days as the guys at the top get paid huge amounts and even if they fail, they get multi-millions euro pay-offs.   Benitez is proof of that and you should see the house he lives on a clifftop with panoramic views of the River Dee on the Wirral.   It’s one of the biggest houses on Merseyside, but is he really the right man for Everton now?   https://www.sundayworld.com/sport/soccer/my-advice-to-my-everton-pals-dont-touch-rafa-benitez-with-a-barge-pole-40558032.html   And so he goes on, I'm getting the impression he isn't Rafa's best friend. But yeah, one of the biggest houses on the Wirral definitely means the bitters shouldn't even consider Rafa.    Sorry John, loved you as a player but christ you're bitter.
    • Exhibit A - Peter Walton.   This is the type of guy that PGMOL (or whatever they are called) like to recruit. He is clearly a yes-man. He isn't selected because he'll think for himself. He's selected because he'll blindly do what his bosses say.   This is the type of person they want for their officials.   They don't want people with acumen. People who can take in data and interpret it. They want people who will do what they say. Even if it is bad for footy.   Think about it. Let's say that your doing your job, and something unexpected happens. You make a decision in the heat of the moment. You aren't 100% and it's playing on your mind. Luckily, you have the benefit of a recording of the event. Right on tap. On a screen near you. In this situation, you'd go to the screen. See if happened the way YOU thought it did and make sure that your decision reflected this new info.   Now reflect on how many times a ref has actually gone to the on field cam. Studied it in detail. Taken their time.   Conversely ..how many times they have let someone else make that call for them.   Weak minded fools.
    • And those goals have added up to zero trophies. He has also got a few very decent, mostly non English, players supplying him at Tottenham whereas with England he does have English players alongside and thats the problem. He will be great for City but I'm not so sure he'll be great elsewhere.
