Apparently, Flanagan made seven interceptions against City, more than any other Liverpool player has managed in a Premier League game this season.

As for Flano. For anything that he did dodgily in the game I thought he more than made up for it in the last 15 minutes. Coutinho could be in that top three, too. Loved his aggression in the first half. Couldn't leave the others out. Especially the captain. Great leadership. I also thought Mignolet made a vital contribution.

It's perverse that you insist on focusing on the negative aspects of a young players game.

 

For example Mignolet, Sakho & Skrtel all had 'dodgy moments' yesterday. Most players, in most games, make mistakes. Most young players start out as, shall we say, not good enough but then it is up to the manager to mould and develop the potential they do possess.

 

Some people never seem to learn when it comes to judging young players.
