Yep. The rules are favourite player - not who you think is best all time player. Any votes for Mad Erik or Titi?

Whelan is high on my list. Certainly not our best, but always liked him.

If that's the case I'll go for Sami.  Always have liked him, always will.

The "best" or "most talented" debate is much trickier.  And I'm going to make a proposition that some might see as daft, but I don't care: if Suarez wins us the league this year and then sticks around for another 3-4 years at the same level, he will in my mind be right up there with some of the absolute legends of this club (I'm talking Fowler/Barnes/Souness-level players).  He is an absolutely unbelievable player, and I hope we find a way to keep him for as long as possible; it's a privilege to watch him play.

One of the things that amuses me and might do the older posters on here is how many alot of our greats got absolutely pilloried in their early careers with the reds and were never going to be "liverpool class". Hope to god that some of the current crop fall in to that category in 15 or 20 years. Some things never change, even if back them there wasn't internet forums.

I remember Alan Kennedy, Rushie, Nicol and Ronnie Whelan as four that used to get dogs abuse in their first year or two in the team. I also remember two of my best mates saying that Crazy Horse was a gobby shithouse that wouldn't even make the Everton first team within two years.

Fowler. He had everything. Shame injuries pretty much took the "world class" tag away way way to early in his career. But he is my all time favorite player.

Followed closely by Beardsley, that little fucker was a magician. Honorable mentions to Hansen, Mølby, Barnes, Rush and ofcourse Gerrard.

I first started going the game early seventies, my favourite all tme player is Clemence, absolutely brilliant, hope he is over the prostate trouble. Lots of players mentioned here are brilliant, we have been blessed with the calibre of players we have had, not just crowd favourites but world class. Keegan, King Kenny, Rush. Fowler, Barnes, Torres (when he was here, i fuckin loved him) Suarez, Stevie G could go on and on, but Clem is my all time hero

For a long period of time there's been a lot of excellent players, but only one king. Kenny Dalglish is still the all time Red for me. If we win the league this year, I'll change my opinion. Then Steven Gerrard would overtake King Kenny's place as the All Time Red.
